New customer SKY deal
If anyone has left the sky fold and wants to return, this is a cracking deal.

Go to vouchecodes.co.uk

type in SKY

a deal comes up - the complete bundle including Sports, Movies, and full HD - £30 a month or £35 for multiroom. 12 month contract. £10 set up fee.

However when I called them, they put it in the system and the multiroom package came up at £30.75 a month - with a 2 TB as the main box and a recordable HD box for second room. This also includes SKY GO extra.

Don't know if the guy on the phone made an error or the system was an error but I've never seen it that cheap.

Might be of benefit to someone.

Re: New customer SKY deal
im in the middle of my 31 day cancellation period, they've offered me 50% off of my TV package but nothing more.

pissed off they have all these great offers for new customers but don't do anything for people who've been with them for years.

I've availed myself of an Amazon stick with all the gubbins on it.

i like the sky platform with the HD box but they are piss takers.

lagging behind in the 4k content too!

Got sports and movies for 60 in two rooms back in September, was chuffed with that.

Since I've got everything set up on my android box, I haven't turned Sky on in 6 days. I'd cancel if I wasn't tied down to 12 months.

Re: New customer SKY deal
I left Sky, they offered me nothing - I went to Virgin, just got out of that, bought a loaded openbox, getting a loaded Amazon stick, however I think the SKY HD UI is good and I miss the live pause, rewind and record.

This deal works out £7.10 a week so for that money its a no brainer.

Got my openbox for BT Sport and the Fire stick will have the new movies and other sports.

Re: New customer SKY deal
Right now my kids are watching a Disney Pixar film through the loaded Amazon Firestick which cost me £63 as a one off fee in HD.

Unfortunately I'm tied into sky TV until November but have sacked off the movies and sports and just kept the basic package, then I ll leave.

Sky are ripping loads of people off and it seems to me more and more people are waking up to this.

Go to eBay and search Firestick kodi. I paid £63 for a £68 stick with an offer. There's loads to choose from

Re: New customer SKY deal
Our Sky was turned off last week and the only thing we're missing is the record feature. The Mrs isn't too bothered though as she can watch anything she's missed on catchup. That, or use Kodi to watch stuff now, when she wants to, that's not due over here for months yet.

They've called twice in the last two days to try and tempt me back but I've been out both times and they can't deal with the Mrs as I'm the account holder.

For me to even contemplate going back I'd want a free 32" TV, like I've seen offered on FB, free HD & multi room for 12 months and a brand new Sky+ HD box with a 2TB hard drive.

If they can't do all of that for less than £30 a month they can shove it.

They offer so many deals to new customers, but don't give a fuck for their existing, loyal customers. They just expect you to renew every year without question, not even offering a new box or to swap your Dish/LNB for a new one when you renew.

How many people out there just renew their contract but have got kit that was installed 5+ years ago?

Those fire sticks are they all sky sports channels and Bt sports in HD?

Re: New customer SKY deal
Why would Sky offer new customer deals to existing customers? The whole point of the offer is to attract new customers!

BT sport in HD via operation RoboCop

I've found sky sports but not in HD

Re: New customer SKY deal
But are they still decent quality? I guess it all depends how good your wifi is doesn't it?

Is it a case of just buying one of those from eBay, plug it in to your usb on tv and away you go?

Re: New customer SKY deal
I'd say the BT sport is superb on RoboCop.

There's a thread on here about kodi xmbc, have a look through that.

I've upgraded my broadband to fibre and its about a yard away from the stick in the back of the TV.

So far so good

PAGEY They should offer the package to try and retain customers a well as attract new ones.

Re: New customer SKY deal
Loads of existing customers get offered a deal when they call in to cancel or enquire. They're not going to just offer everyone a deal, are they? They'd go bust in no time.

Too many people want something for nothing these days.

Or much like the latest campaign for cheaper away tickets in football, people actually are prepared to fight for a fair price, rather than be fucked over.

Like Sky will go bust by charging less. Poor old Sky, struggling with their income.

Re: New customer SKY deal
In my opinion, £70 for every single channel per month is more than fair. Plus loads of people are on much better deals than that too.

Even if you just add up the amount of live sport per month across the board that's still a bargain. That's without the films and the box sets on demand.

Most people don't think twice about spunking £70 on drink on one average night out yet freak out when asked to pay the same for a month's worth of premium television? It doesn't make sense.
